As part of the month-long Dance Chicago festival, Jon Lehrer’s strikingly original choreography transformed the stage into an energy field of super-charged particles. Rich movement invention coupled with high-risk partnering were signatures of Lehrer’s choreography throughout the four pieces.  Dance Dynamics offers students from across Western New York ages 10 to adult with ballet, jazz or modern training, the amazing  opportunity to expand their horizons and study directly with this prestigious company.  In LehrerDance classes, you will learn Jon's unique style from him and his company members, dance with professionals and learn company repitoire.  Classes have ended for the season, please email the studio for information on upcoming sessions.    Jon Lehrer is the former Associate Director and Resident Choreographer of Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago.  After 11 years with the world's foremost jazz dance company, Jon has started LehrerDance, the new professional dance company based in Buffalo, NY.  Five years in the making, LehrerDance will showcase Jon's unique choreography and allow him to cultivate and continue to creat a definitive and original style.  Jon's extensive experience in both the modern and jazz dance idioms allows him to create dances that are organic, artistic, accessible, often humorous and always inspired by life experience and the human condition.

Spezio's Dance Dynamics Artistic Director  Michelle Spezio Ferm, President/CEO      Mrs.  Michelle opened the studio in 1993 with goals of offering a balanced program promting disciplined technique.  "It is our mission to assist each dancer in pursuing their personal dance goals while focusing on artistry, expression and excellence.  Of course, dance is an art form that requires rigorous study, but in doing so, dancers learn valuable life lessons.  We work to provide each dancer with an education that instills poise, grace, self and more importantly memories and friendships to last a lifetime."     Mrs. Ferm is a DMA TTS Certified  Post Graduate, 7 year consecutive attendee, member of  Dance Master's of America, National Dance Education Organization, National Dance Association, American Alliance for Health Recreation, Physical Education and Dance, Christopher Teacher Association & Regional Director for Christopher National Dance Seminars.         Over the past 14 years the staff and Mrs. Ferm has had the opportunity to pass along her passion for dance in an energetic and inspiring manner.  She is proud to have had so many young women reach success in dance and thus, their academic endeavors.       Mrs. Ferm has studied dance for 34 years in the Buffalo and surrounding areas.  with significant training in all subjects.  In her younger days, Mrs. Ferm trained at the Geraldine Hoffman School in Clarence, NY.  She began her teaching career at the age of 14  co-teaching acrobatics.

Mrs. Ferm's dedication and love of teaching  lead her to become a Dance Educator at the Age of 18.  She pursued and received her Bachelor of Arts, while she taught and performed.  She is a former Zodiaque Dance Co. member, Public Relations/ Business Professional, Gymnastics Coach and mom of two.  She is enjoying her 20th year of teaching.  "Come and visit our new school location, my dream space with 3 beautiful and large studios, closed circuit camera system, ample parking and more all nestled in Amherst.  We are uniquely located within a site dedicated to children and physical education.  You will find Dance, Day Care, Karate, Gymnastics and Fitness Club.  Get on the floor and DANCE!  Discover the dancer in you!"
